Palazzo Mazzetti offers, every Sunday (except the last of each month dedicated to meetings with families), a guided tour lasting one hour in which art historians and museum experts will accompany the visitor on a surprising occasion of cultural enrichment.
The visit will start from the ancient apartment of Count Giovanni Battista characterized by seventeenth-century stuccos, it will continue in the rooms that house the paintings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, in the refined Camerino and in the gallery of the Coat of Arms, where in a pleasant moment of pause in the museum tour it will be It is possible to live an enveloping multisensory experience thanks to an advanced projection system that affects all the walls of the large room.
The prestige of the noble family is celebrated in the decorations of the Mazzetti Gallery, in the Sala dello Zodiaco up to the new apartment built on a project by Benedetto Alfieri in the mid-eighteenth century.
Among the collection nuclei we remember the precious collection of micro-sculptures by Giuseppe Maria Bonzanigo which made him famous in Europe.
For nineteenth-century painting, Michelangelo Pittatore describes our city with his portraits.
Among the Asti painters, Carlo Nogaro stands out with his dramatic view of the siege of Paris (Italian Ambulance, 1872).
Contemporary art appears documented by works from important Asti exhibitions and by the most recent donations.
This and much more in the “Sundays at the Palace” and of course at the end of the guided tour, it will be possible to linger in the rooms of the museum and continue to enjoy the wonders kept in them.
The initiative, with compulsory reservation, will start at 3.45 pm (meeting at 3.30 pm) and the expected cost will be € 5.00 in addition to the price of the entrance ticket to the museum (full price: € 5.00 – reduced: 3 , € 00 – Turin Piedmont Museum Card: free).
